The stereotypical master cleanser concoction of lemon juice, cayenne, and maple syrup might be associated with starving starlets, but at Crêpe O Chocolat (75 O'Farrell at Stockton), it is elevated to the level of a delicious ― if extreme ― beverage. It's actually a kombucha tea, enlivened with acerola, noni, lemon, açaÃ, ginger, turmeric, and a boatload of cayenne.
This is true fire water, a charge to any self-respecting spice addict ― especially when you reach the mother load of pepper that gathers at the bottom and shotgun it all. It's definitely not for the timid.
