Important news, record fans. The Bay Area Record Fair — which launched a daylong celebration of locally sourced sounds at Thee Parkside in February — is coming back for a second edition. Maybe organizers
Father/Daughter Records and Professional Fans were juiced by the fact that we gave them a Best Of award in May, or maybe they're just obsessed with gathering the music-minded multitudes of the Bay Area for daytime drinks, vinyl dealing, and live music. Very likely they're just crazy. In any case, Bay Area Record Fair Version 2.0 is coming to Thee Parkside on Saturday, Sept. 27, for you to buy music direct from your favorite local labels, win stuff, and see bands (names of bands yet to be determined). Also, this Thursday, July 3, Bay Area Record Fair is hosting a pop-up shop at California Academy's Nightlife, where Two Gallants and Jamie Jams are also spinning records.
