Update 3:40 p.m.: Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot last night as 25-year-old Mark-Anthony Salumbides, a Pacifica resident.
Original Story 8:45 a.m.: An unidentified man was gunned down late last night in the city's SoMa neighborhood — the fourth homicide this week.
Sgt. Danielle Newman says that a witness who heard gunfire flagged down a patrol unit in the area of Sixth and Mission streets at about 11:07 p.m. A second police unit arrived and found a man with gunshot wounds on the 100 block of Mission Street.
He was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital where he later died.
