Super Bowl trafficking trickery: The whole “trafficking” scare, especially its supposed linkage to the Super Bowl, is a bunch of unsubstantiated hype (“Massaging the Super Bowl Sex Trafficking Numbers,” Jeremy Lybarger, 2/18/16). It's an outrageous waste of taxpayer money for a multicounty task force with 50 collaborating organizations and 5,000 trained volunteers to have arrested only 12 alleged pimps. And whether those alleged pimps were even trafficking people against their will is anybody's guess. If an agency like the FBI or SFPD is so clueless or dishonest as to classify all prostitutes as “victims,” they've pretty much forfeited all credibility on the topic, and we should not believe anything else they say about it without independent confirmation. Ridesharing ruined my life: What am I supposed to do (“Why Uber Protests Aren't Working,” Chris Roberts, 2/18/16)? I worked at a cab company for 16 years. Uber took over and I couldn't make money anymore. I figured I would try Uber. Now I'm getting half the amount of money and working more hours. 75 to 80 hours. My only choice now is to go be a forklift driver making half of what I made before or a warehouse worker or work at McDonalds. Or stay here and keep working for Uber. Uber has caused thousands and thousands of workers to lose their jobs. George
